Is the heat getting to be too much for you? Cool off at Parkview Pool, 3051 S. Fifth St.
The pool is open to Whitehall Township residents noon-7 p.m. daily.
General admission cost, for ages 6-61, is $10 per resident. Admission for children under age 6 and residents 62 and older is free. A photo ID is required for admission.
The township parks and recreation department is planning a special event for June 28 - a summer pool party. From 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., a deejay will be playing tunes while attendees enjoy all the fun that comes with visiting the pool.
As a plus, if you wear a sports jersey, there is no cost for admission. Those not wearing a jersey will pay $3. Pass holders and seniors are still free of charge.
Note: On this day, the pool will close 5 p.m. to get ready for the event.

Whitehall Bible Fellowship Church, 3300 Seventh St., is inviting students in grades 7-12 to youth group events. If you didn’t attend youth group this year, you may still attend.
The following is a list of dates and planned events.
• June 28: mini golf at Rolling Hills
• July 12: Nerf and movie night at the church
• Aug. 2: to be announced
• Aug. 16: Dorney Park
• Aug. 27: hike after church

Lehigh Valley with Littles has partnered with Whitehall Fire Department for a Stories at the Firehouse summer series program.
The Hokendauqua station will welcome kids 3 p.m. Aug. 12 to hear a story, meet and greet firefighters and see the firetrucks up close and personal.
