Hokendauqua: Deejay to play tunes at summer pool party June 28

Is the heat getting to be too much for you? Cool off at Parkview Pool, 3051 S. Fifth St.

The pool is open to Whitehall Township residents noon-7 p.m. daily.

General admission cost, for ages 6-61, is $10 per resident. Admission for children under age 6 and residents 62 and older is free. A photo ID is required for admission.

The township parks and recreation department is planning a special event for June 28 - a summer pool party. From 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., a deejay will be playing tunes while attendees enjoy all the fun that comes with visiting the pool.

As a plus, if you wear a sports jersey, there is no cost for admission. Those not wearing a jersey will pay $3. Pass holders and seniors are still free of charge.

Note: On this day, the pool will close 5 p.m. to get ready for the event.
