Gaetana “Gloria” Mitchell, 101, died on June 11, 2023, while a guest of Cedarbrook Senior Care and Rehabilitation, South Whitehall.

Born Jan. 26, 1922, she was one of seven children born to the late Carmelo and Anna (Geraci) Crisafulli.

Married to the late William Henderson Mitchell Sr. for 45 years, she was the mother of two children - Mary Jane and the late William Henderson Mitchell Jr.

She served her country during WWII in the U.S. Navy.

She enjoyed a full life between her volunteering, love of sewing, and willingness to help various military groups.

Survivors include her daughter Mary Jane Deaver and husband, Stewart, of Jacksonville, Fla., five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and daughter-in-law Maria (Kohler) Mitchell of Whitehall.

She will be interred privately with her husband at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
