Egypt Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7293 is planning a number of summer events.

The Egypt VFW Auxiliary will hold a basket raffle 4-8:30 p.m. June 23 at the Post, 5209 Springmill Road.

The Castaway Band will play 1970s-90s rock and modern country music 7 p.m. July 1. There is a cover charge for nonmembers.

The VFW is hosting a guided charcuterie workshop, planned for 2-3 p.m. July 9 and led by Gather & Graze Charcuterie of Easton. Attendees will create a charcuterie board, sample fudge and receive a complimentary beverage. There is a cost.

The Uncle Smiley Band will perform at the Post 6:30 p.m. July 15. There is a cover charge for nonmembers.

These events are open to the public.

The Whitehall High School Classes of 1959-61 are having a summer social noon-6 p.m. June 24 at Egypt Memorial Park, 4548 Main St. There is a cost.

Food will be provided by Samuel Owens catering. No alcohol will be served or allowed. Attendees are welcome to donate desserts.

Advance tickets for the Cement Belt Fair are now available at King Kone, 4128 Springmill Road, Egypt.

The fair is scheduled for 6-10 p.m. June 26-July 1 at Victor Talotta/Cementon Park, 5185 Dewey St.

Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church will hold its annual parish picnic July 9 at Egypt Memorial Park, 4548 Main St., rain or shine. Mass will begin 11 a.m., and festivities will follow Mass through 6 p.m.

There will be games for children and adults, bingo and homemade foods such as pierogies, haluski, halupki and baked goods. Entertainment will be provided by Josef Kroboth noon-3 p.m. and Flirtin’ with the Mob 3:30-6 p.m.

Admission and parking are free. The public is invited.

VBS will be held 6-8:30 p.m. July 10-14 at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, 4331 Main St., Egypt, for age 3 to those who completed sixth grade. This year’s theme is Stellar, Shine Jesus’ Light.

The youth group of Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church is running a used clothing drive to raise funds for its 2024 mission trip. The group is collecting new or gently used men’s, women’s and children’s clothing, shoes, purses, belts, bed and bath linens and stuffed animals. Shoes must be bagged separately.
