David C. Kistler, 65, died June 7, 2023, in St. Luke’s Hospice, Bethlehem.

He was the husband of Joan L. Keeler.

Born Oct. 17, 1957, in Allentown, he was the son of the late Donald W. Kistler and Patricia (Shollenberger) Treat.

The financial officer for Salisbury Township for eight years before retiring, he was a 1975 graduate of Parkland High School, and earned a Master’s degree from Lehigh University.

He was a member of the Knights of Columbus.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by stepchildren Jamus L. Grym of Pottsville, and Erine M. Grant (Joshua) of Locust, N.C.; brothers Michael R. Kistler (Crystal) of Schnecksville, and James W. Kistler of Phoenix, Ariz.; and step-grandchildren Gage, Gunnar, Liam and Freya.

A celebration of his life will be announced in mid-August. There will be no public calling hours.
