Carol A. Pavone, 85, formerly of Allentown and Emmaus, died June 9, 2023, at Elm Terrace Gardens, Lansdale, with family by her side. She was the wife of the late Joseph M. Pavone. They celebrated 52 years of marriage before his death in 2010. Born in Atlantic City, N.J., she was a daughter of the late Addison and Myrtle (Snyder) Griggs.

She was a member of Asbury Methodist Church, Allentown since 1958. At Asbury, she was active in the Henritzy Sunday School class and the Contemporary Choir. She worked for many years as a medical secretary for Emmaus Medical Associates and, later, at Phoebe Home, Allentown, as a Medicare specialist.

She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

She is survived by daughters, Doreen Smith, Diane and her husband, Erich Groves; grandchildren, Ryan J. Groves and his partner, Callie A. Waldron, Rebekah J. Smith, Jason N. Smith, great-granddaughter, Ava J. Palmer-Smith; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, June; six half-siblings.

Memorial contributions may be made in her name to the church.

A memorial service will be held 6:30 p.m. June 23 at Asbury United Methodist Church, 1533 Springhouse Road, Allentown, 18104. There will be a calling period 5:30 to 6:30 p, m.
