Carol A. Pavone, 85, formerly of Allentown and Emmaus, died June 9, 2023, with family by her side, in Elm Terrace Gardens, Lansdale.

The wife of the late Joseph M. Pavone, the couple celebrated 52 years of marriage before his death in 2010.

Born in Atlantic City, N.J., she was a daughter of the late Addison and Myrtle (Snyder) Griggs.

A member of Asbury United Methodist Church, South Whitehall, since 1958, she was active in the Henritzy Sunday School class and the Contemporary Choir.

She worked for many years as a medical secretary for Emmaus Medical Associates and, later, at Phoebe Home, Allentown, as a Medicare specialist.

A loving wife, mother and grandmother, she will be missed by all who knew her.

Surviving are her daughters, Doreen Smith, and Diane Groves and husband, Erich; grandchildren Ryan J. Groves and his partner, Callie A. Waldron, Rebekah J. and Jason N. Smith; great-granddaughter Ava J. Palmer-Smith; and nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her beloved sister June and six half-siblings.

Her memorial service will be 6:30 p.m. on June 23 at Asbury United Methodist Church, 1533 Springhouse Road, Allentown.

There will be a calling period 5:30-6:30 p.m.
