The PA Senior Food Box Program is a federally funded program designed to improve the health of low-income seniors by supplementing their diets with nutritious food. Second Harvest Food Bank, Nazareth, relies on a dedicated group of volunteers to pack the senior boxes each month. The day is split into two shifts: 8-11:30 a.m. and 12:30-4 p.m. June 17 and June 20. Get ready for the sweetest festival of the summer at Historic Bethlehem Museums & Sites. Volunteers are needed for the 36th Annual Blueberry Festival & Market To Go for set up, parking, admissions, craft tents, runners, order fulfillment and more. Looking for fulfillment while interacting with hospital staff, visitors and patients? Lehigh Valley Health Network is looking for energetic and outgoing people to volunteer in the gift shops at the Cedar Crest campus in Allentown and the Muhlenberg campus in Bethlehem. Evening and weekend shifts are available. Outstanding customer service skills are required. Prior retail experience not necessary; training will be provided. Are you one to make friends easily? ShareCare Faith in Action is looking for Senior Chat volunteers. Senior Chat is a free and safe telephone program to connect older adults with caring volunteers so they can have friendly conversations once a week. YLEAD is a leadership and service program for Lehigh Valley high school students (entering 10th, 11th or 12th grade in the fall) hosted by Volunteer Center of the Lehigh Valley. Participants in the program develop critical leadership skills while working to support nonprofit organizations through service projects. TEACH Rwanda is seeking a treasurer for their US-based board, which is in the process of upgrading and simplifying financial systems. Experience with QuickBooks or similar software and an eagerness to join the fundraising team is required, as well as attending a 2-hour Zoom board meeting 6 p.m. the third Tuesday of each month. Stanley Llama and the pigs, goats, horses, ponies, alpacas and other animals would love to meet you. The Gress Mountain Ranch in Orefield needs volunteers to assist with their daily feeding and watering. Small groups also needed to help with ground maintenance, composting, and cleaning of stalls.
