Pups shine at Paws in the Park

Western Lehigh Chamber’s third annual Paws in the Park took place May 7 in Grange Park, Upper Macungie Township.

The event featured animal-related vendors, raffle prizes and pet contests.

Categories included Loudest Bark, Best Owner and Pet Look-A-Like, Best Dressed Pet and Best Trick.

Food trucks on hand were Bodega Bistro and Mon and Mel’s Ice Cream, and beverages for pet companions from Sleepy Cat Winery, Eight Oaks Distillery, Five Maidens Cidery and Mishka Vodka.

Funds raised will benefit the Sanctuary at Haafsville.

Janice Pitkin, event coordinator and volunteer for nine years, manned the Sanctuary at Haafsville booth May 7 at Paws in the Park in Grange Park, Upper Macungie Township.

Judges at the Western Lehigh Chamber's Paws in the Park included Mack the Mutt from Patrick McNealis Insurance, Tori Morgan, Bobbie Jo and Alton from Dukes Deli. Contestants were Hera with Chelsea Mosley, Tyler Boyd with Gunnar, Bill Wright with Spirit, and Keith Reynolds with Agnes, who won first place. Jake Reynolds is on the right.
