William H. Yeakel, 90, of Macungie, died June 8, 2023, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest campus. He was the husband of the late Julia (Lazor) Yeakel, who died in 2021. Born in Vera Cruz, he was the son of the late William M.E. and Sadie S. (Sell) Yeakel.

He was an Army veteran serving during the Korean War.

He was the president of William M.E. Yeakel & Sons for many years until retiring.

Throughout his endeavors, he was an active and lifetime member of Old Zionsville U.C.C., where he served on the consistory and on the property committee for many years.

He was a member of the Emmaus Lodge #792 F & AM and the Emmaus Optimist Club.

He is survived by his daughters, Patricia Mittl (James), Deborah Gurgick (Anthony), Barbara Kerchner (Marvin); son, Peter; sister, Miriam Fisher (John); five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by brothers, Marvin, Warren; sisters, Arlene Schaffer, Eleanor Knauss.
