Russell S. Famulary, 99, of Lower Macungie Township, died June 5, 2023, in his residence. He was the loving husband of Barbara Anne (Plunkett) Famulary with whom he would have shared 30 years of marriage in December. Born in Red Bank, N.J., he was a son of the late Samuel and Mary (Fiore) Famulary.
He was an advertising executive for Asbury Park Press for over 25 years.
He proudly served in the United States Army Air Corps during World War II in North Africa, South America and throughout Europe.
He enjoyed golf and music. He was a drummer and an artist.
He is survived by his wife; daughter, Diane and her husband, James Case; grandchildren, Christopher and Benjamin; great-grandchildren, Adelyn, Elliott and Olivia; stepdaughters, Andrea Borgmann, Alisa and her husband, Jess Brownlee; Hunter, Olivia and Joshua. He was predeceased by seven siblings and previous wife, Bernice H.
Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tenn. 38105 or Tunnel to Towers Foundation, 2361 Hylan Blvd., Staten Island, N.Y., 10306.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements were made by the Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., Emmaus.
