Michael J. Weber II

Michael J. Weber II, 71, of Allentown, died peacefully June 10, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Patricia (O’Donnell) Weber, with whom he shared 48 years of marriage. He was the son of the late Michael and Ida (Maule) Weber.

He was a graduate of Allentown Central Catholic High School, Class of 1970. He earned a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from DeSales and his master’s degree in organic chemistry from Lehigh University.

He was a longtime member of St. Ann’s Roman Catholic Church, Emmaus.

He retired from Mallinckrodt/GEO Specialty Chemicals, Allentown, after 44 years of service.

He was known to his friends and family as a modern-day Renaissance man. He loved spending time with his family and grandchildren, his annual fishing trips to Canada with close friends, spending summers at the beach and taking photos. He had a passion for nature and being outdoors, including hunting. He was an avid reader, loved learning about history and enjoyed traveling across the globe.

He was someone who could fix anything, mechanically and electrically inclined. He’ll be remembered for being kind, generous and loving to everyone and always willing to lend a hand to those in need.

He is survived by his wife; children, Jennifer Grgurich (Justin), Karen Sloan (Sean), Michael III (Suzanne); grandchildren, John, James, Jacob, Hannah, Tyler, Michael IV, Vivian.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m. June 16 at St. Ann’s Roman Catholic Church, 415 S. Sixth St., Emmaus. A visitation will be held 10 to 11 a.m. before the Mass at the church. Stephens Funeral Home, Allentown, has been entrusted with the arrangements.
