Bath: Pie contest scheduled for June 17 at Bath Farmers Market

Organizers of Bath Farmers Market will hold a pie contest June 17. Bring your best homemade pie to enter to win a prize.

The farmers market is open 9 a.m.-noon every Saturday at Monocacy Creek Park, West Main Street.

Salem United Church of Christ, 2218 Community Drive, will be holding a flea market/yard sale event 7 a.m.-1 p.m. June 17.

Food stands will be open.

The Bath Museum, 121 S. Walnut St., is set to be open to the public 10 a.m.-2 p.m. June 17.

Governor Wolf Historical Society, 6600 Jacksonville Road, will be having tours of historic buildings, grounds and new museum on the third Saturday of every month.

The next one is set for 1-3 p.m. June 17.

Emmanuel’s Lutheran Church, 3175 Valley View Drive, has copies of “The History of Emmanuel’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in the village of Petersville in Pennsylvania” by Keith Bird available for sale.

Emmanuel’s Lutheran Church announces yoga classes are continuing in the fellowship hall 5:30 p.m. Mondays.

It is pay as you go each week for a minimal cost. Bring a yoga mat or towel and wear comfortable clothes.

During the month of June, Emmanuel’s church will help Bath Area Food Bank by collecting jelly and cold cereal. There is still an ongoing need for ramen noodles, and there is a special request for canned fruit and boxed macaroni and cheese.

Donations for the food bank can be dropped off in the bins in the fellowship hall or the upstairs gathering area.

Bath will be holding a Spuds Lite Festival 1-6 p.m. June 24 at Ciff Cowling Field, 100 Allen St.

Each vendor will sell at least one potato-themed dish to celebrate Bath’s rich potato heritage. Some vendors include Birthright Brewing, the Tot Rod Truck, Red Robin, Momma’s Belly Buster Food Truck and the borough’s snack stand.
