Allen/East Allen townships: Fish and game association schedules Father’s Day breakfast

Treat Dad to breakfast! Lappawinzo Fish and Game Association, 25 Lappawinzo Road, Allen Township, will be holding its next breakfast 8-11 a.m. on Father’s Day, June 18. It is open to the public.

Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 1335 Old Carriage Road, Kreidersville, will hold Vacation Bible School June 19-23 for children in preschool through sixth grade.

It starts with a family dinner 5:30-6:15 p.m. Class starts after the meal until 7:30 p.m. Monday-Thursday.

Children will learn stories and songs, make crafts and do activities with water about Noah, Jesus walking on water, women at the well and Lydia.

June 23 will be a fun night with roasting hot dogs over a fire pit and making s’mores.

There is no cost. If you would like to join, preregister by calling the church office at 610-262-9517 between 9 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. or just attend June 19.

Plan ahead!

The 295th anniversary festival of Craig’s Scotch-Irish Settlement hosted by Horner’s Cemetery Historical Society is 1 p.m. Sept. 9 at 4965 Nor-Bath Blvd., East Allen Township.

Craig’s Scotch-Irish Settlement is the oldest and longest permanent settlement of the Lehigh Valley. Visit the grave site of Jane Horner, the first woman killed by Native Americans in Northampton County.

Listen to the story and gift giving between George Washington and Gen. Robert Brown. Learn about the ancestors of Theodore Roosevelt and Harry Truman. Hear the story about John Hays and Ben Franklin.
