Charles and Marjorie Kerchner, of Emmaus, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary May 21 with a renewal of vows officiated by the Rev. Ashley Werkheiser during the Sunday service at Christ United Church of Christ, Schoenersville, 5050 Airport Road, Allentown.

They were married May 26, 1973, at Christ UCC by the Rev. Edward Foster and wanted to have their renewal of vows at the church where they were married.

A social hour followed in the church’s fellowship hall.

The couple are 1962 graduates of Emmaus High School.

They have two children: Dr. Debra L. (Michael) O’Byrne, of Woodbine, Md., and Chip Kerchner (Margaret LaFarr), of Niskayuna, N.Y., and four grandchildren: Jacob and Ben Kerchner and Kaitlyn and Ashley O’Byrne.
