Lovie M. Smith, 103, of Allentown, died May 31, 2023, in New Tripoli.

Born in Albany Township, she was a daughter of the late Elmer and Jennie (Miller) Turner.

A former waitress, she last worked for the Woolworth Store, Crest Plaza, South Whitehall, until she retired.

Her survivors include her son William R. Smith of Allentown; daughters Lana E. (Robert) Furhmeister of Middletown, Del., Janice E. Smith of Catasauqua, and Deborah J. (Anthony) Salvatore of New Tripoli, with whom she last resided; grandchildren David (Melissa) Furhmeister, Lisa (Phil) Barney, and Terri (Chris) Crawford; and great-grandchildren Sara and Abby Furhmeister.

She was predeceased by her companion Lester E. Rhodes in 2000; and siblings Leon Turner and Elda Hoffman-Wanamaker.
