Jaime Garcia Ortiz, 77, of Bethlehem, died June 1, 2023, in Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg. Born in Guayama, Puerto Rico, he was a son of the late Teofilio Garcia and the late Flor Maria (Ortiz) Garcia. He was the spouse and companion of Andrea DeLeon for 25 years.
He was a chef for many years at the Puerto Rican Beneficial Society, South Bethlehem. He was a cook and worked in maintenance at Saucon Valley Country Club. He worked in maintenance at the Iron Pigs Stadium.
He was a parishioner of Holy Infancy Catholic Church, Bethlehem.
In addition to his spouse, he is survived by two sons, James and Harry Garcia; two stepsons, Xavier and Jomar Ramos; nine sisters and brothers, Aida Garcia, Rosalia Garcia, Maria Garcia, Virginia Garcia, Gladys Velez, Marisol Garcia, Daniel Garcia, Jose Garcia and Angel Garcia; six grandchildren; three step-grandsons; six great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; and extended family.
He was predeceased by a sister, Margarita Lopez; and a brother, Benjamin Garcia.
Arrangements were made by James Funeral Home Inc., Bethlehem.
