Community blood drive June 13

It’s officially summer break for students in Salisbury Township schools.
The last day for the 2022-2023 school year is June 7.
Salisbury High School and Salisbury Middle School will dismiss 10:30 a.m. and Salisbury Elementary School will dismiss 11:15 a.m.

Salisbury Township’s summer playground program will begin June 14 and run through July 21. The hours will be 9 a.m. to noon Monday through Friday and 6:30-8 p.m. Wednesday evenings at Green Acres, Lindberg, Devonshire and Laubach parks. This elementary aged program is for Salisbury Township resident’s children who have completed kindergarten through the age of 12 years old. Flyers/registration forms will be available soon. Participants are to register at the park location they will be attending on their first day. There is no pre-registration.
The next operations committee meeting will be 7 p.m. June 7 in the administration building immediately followed by the finance committee meeting.
The next school board meeting will be 7 p.m. June 14 in the administration building.
The Salisbury Township cheerleaders are hosting a Chick-fil-A fundraiser June 22 at the Whitehall Chick-fil-A. This event is good on both dine in and take out orders completed at the location and runs 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Just mention Salisbury Township cheerleading when you place your order or show the flyer (found online) on your phone. The cheerleaders will then get 15% donated back to the cheerleading program.
Salisbury Township night at the IronPigs is back. The game will be June 29 with a 7:05 p.m. start and it’s a fanny pack giveaway night. Tickets include a $2 concession credit. Lehigh Valley Orthopedic Institute is hosting an impact athlete soccer clinic 10 a.m. to noon July 15 for students entering second through fifth grades. The clinic will be held at the Charles Chrin Community Center, 4100 Green Pond Road in Palmer Township. The clinic will feature Rylee Donaldson from Villanova University. The Devonshire drop-off site will be open June 8 and 10 and the Franko site will be open June 12, 15 and 17. Hours will remain 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday and Thursday and 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays.
