Moore Township: Community Days committee plans June 9, July 14 concerts

The Moore Township Community Days committee has a number of events planned throughout the summer.

There is a concert in the park set for June 9, featuring The Buzz. Stereotype will be performing July 14. Concerts will be held 6-10 p.m. at the recreation center, 635 English Road.

Moore Township Land and Environmental Protection Board will next meet 7 p.m. June 12 at the recreation pavilion.

Emmanuel’s Lutheran Church, 3175 Valley View Drive, celebrates its 300th anniversary this year. A special worship will be held June 25.

Pastor Rachel Ziese Hacker welcomes everyone to Emmanuel’s. If you cannot attend a Sunday or other service, you can call 610-477-0100 to listen to any of its services. Call in during the service time to listen to a current service.

The next Moore Township Historical Commission meeting is planned for 7 p.m. June 27. Contact the township office for the meeting location.

Planning is underway for the commission’s annual Octoberfest event, set for 5 p.m. Oct. 12 in the social hall at Klecknersville Rangers Volunteer Fire Company, 2718 Mountain View Drive.

The Moore Township Emergency Management coordinator notes emergencies can happen while you are traveling. An accident- or weather-related incident can cause significant delays.

When traveling, keep a small kit containing drinks, snacks, flashlight and a blanket. The best way to deal with an emergency is to be prepared.
