Janet L. Siegfried, 79, of Allentown, died Jan. 1, 2023, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest campus. She was the wife of Walter E. Siegfried, with whom she shared 58 years of marriage. She was the daughter of the late Earl and Mary (Laponuke) Bartholomew.

She was a longtime active member of St. Andrew’s Lutheran Church, Allentown.

She dedicated her life to caring for children. Whether she was caring for her own family, or for any of the children she helped in her own day care business.

In her spare time, she loved going to the beach, particularly Ocean City, Md. She loved animals and enjoyed making ceramics.

She is survived by her husband; sons, Victor and his wife, Jeni, Eric and his wife, Lisa; grandchildren, Sara and Ayden. She was predeceased by her brother, Dennis Bartholomew; sister, Patricia Meyers.
