Elsie M. Lindenmuth, 87, of Catasauqua, died June 2, 2023, at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest, Allentown. She was the wife of the late Douglas D. Lindenmuth for 58 years.

Born in Hazelton, she was a daughter of the late F. Harold and Grace A. (Woodring) Thomas.

She was a 1953 graduate of Catasauqua High School. She earned a bachelor’s degree in elementary education at East Stroudsburg State Teachers College in 1957.

She was a kindergarten teacher in the Catasauqua Area School District for 24 years before retiring in 1997.

She is survived by a son, Duane T. and wife Robin of Slatington; two daughters, Lisa J. and husband Steven Suchower of Malvern and Denise L. and spouse Jill Ottinger of Ambler; a brother, Clifford C. Thomas and wife Eileen of Bath; four granddaughters, Paula and husband Brett Johnson, Marisa Suchower, Becca Suchower and Jenna Suchower; and a great-granddaughter, Piper Grace Johnson.
