Charles P. “Chuck” Phillips Jr., 87, of Macungie, died June 2, 2023, surrounded by his loving wife and daughters. He was the husband of Deanna “Dee” Phillips for 67 years. He was more than a husband to Dee; he was her best friend. They were inseparable and their love was truly inspirational and unwavering.
He was a multisport athlete, an avid golfer and a die hard Steelers fan.
He graduated from Juniata College in 1958 with a degree in accounting. Before retiring, he was employed for many years by U.S. Steel and Lehigh Portland Cement.
He was a great man with a big heart and a warm, embracing smile. The definition of a family man that was a true patriarch in every way. The man who supported his kids, spoiled his grandkids and thoroughly enjoyed his great-grandkids.
He is survived by his wife; daughters, Shelley and her husband, Brian Berlin, of Bethlehem, Tammy and her husband, Steve Cihylik, of Allentown, Laurey and her husband, Jeff Sperring, of Lantana, Texas; grandchildren, Michael Berlin and his wife, Emily, Anna Berlin, Baylea Sperring and her fiancé, John Christich, Raleigh Sperring and her husband, Adrian Shodi; great-granddaughters, Callan and Leni Shodi.
