Benjamin Ramos Ferrer, 72, of Emmaus, died May 26, 2023, at Lehigh Valley Hospice (Inpatient), Allentown. He was the companion of the late Diane V. (Bysher) Hartman. Born in Carolina, Puerto Rico, he was the son of the late Benjamin Ramos Rivera and Tioda Ferrer.

He was a horse jockey for 25 years before retiring.

He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Macungie.

He is survived by his companion’s sons, Robert H.E. Brown III and his wife, Donna Lee, of Breinigsville, Michael J. Brown and his wife, Angela, of Schnecksville; siblings, Carlos Ramos, Ebvelyn Ramos, Marie Ramos, Milagros Ramos, all of Puerto Rico; grandchildren, Shelby, Timothy, Aaron and Ariana Brown. He was predeceased by a grandson, Zachary Brown.

An informal gathering will be held 10 a.m. June 10 in the fellowship hall at Grace Lutheran Church, 28 W. Main St., Macungie.
