Terrance H. Kearney, 84, of Breinigsville, died May 21, 2023.
Born Feb. 1, 1939, in Oil City, he was the eldest child of the late Raphael and Ruth (Gregg).
A graduate of Oil City High School, he earned his degree from St. Bonaventure University of New York.
He set up a scholarship at St. Bonaventure for future students from Oil City and Allentown Central Catholic.
After college, he proudly served as an officer in the Army, then began working for IBM followed by a 50-year career at Merrill Lynch, serving many of those years as vice president of the branch.
He loved all his family and friends.
Some of his other loves were his pride in his Irish heritage, his cats, traveling, ice cream, bowling, memberships to Cetronia Fire Hall and Hogan’s, as well as his Pittsburgh sports teams.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by siblings Gary, Judy and Agnus Loree; his first wife, Barbara; his second wife, Joanne; and his eldest son, Terrance Jr.
He will be greatly missed by his children Timothy Kearney and wife, Michelle, of Coopersburg, Barbara Ziegler and husband, Ronald Jr., of Barto, and Jennifer Horn and husband, Thomas, of Emmaus; loving grandchildren April Weymouth and husband, Evan, Brittany Horn, Danielle Schneider and husband, Marc, Michael and Aiden Horn and Bridget Kearney; blessed great-grandchildren Connor, Ryan, Emma and Shannon Weymouth; and his western Pennsylvania family.
