George J. Fredericks, Jr., 84, of Schnecksville, died on May 21, 2023, in his home.

He and his wife, Joan L. (Moore) Fredericks, were married 31 years.

Born March 12, 1939, in West Reading, Berks County, he was the son of the late George J. Fredericks Sr. and Violet A. (Bushman) Fredericks.

He faithfully and honorably served his country in the U.S. Navy during a peacetime era.

He was president and founder of Engines Inc., Northampton, since 1995.

He was a member of Union Evangelical Lutheran Church, Schnecksville.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by children Nanette Fredericks of Shark River Hills, N.J., Scott Fredericks of Oley, Keith Fredericks of Shark River Hills, Michelle D. Fredericks (Stephen Latshaw) of Conway, S.C., and Elisa Fredericks (Tim Smith) of Southampton, N.J.; stepchildren Kenneth B. Shealy (Lori) of Reading, and Terrilyn M. Singer of Hamburg; 16 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
