To the Editor:

To honor Al Neumeyer by putting his name on the auditorium at EHS should be, as the commercial says, “The easiest decision in the history of decisions.”

The positive impact he had on his students is immeasurable, and is also evident in the great number of those students who have gone on to successful careers as musicians, actors and teachers – or who have made some form of the performing arts a lifelong passion.

For certain, I would not be drumming for the Radio City Christmas Spectacular if it wasn’t for the bands, musicals, encouragement and direction that began with Al Neumeyer.
