Allen R. Ruth, 88, formerly of Hatfield, died peacefully May 12, 2023, in Lehigh Commons, Macungie, where he had been residing.

He was the husband of the late Grace (Richard) Ruth.

Born Sept. 2, 1934, in New Britain Township, Bucks County, he was the son of the late Wilson L. and Grace K. (Rumer) Ruth.

He was employed at Porter Instrument Co., Hatfield, for many years before retiring.

His survivors include daughters Kim N., wife of Nicholas Bedio Jr., of Lehighton, and Linda M., wife of Jeremiah G. Burnhauser, of Germansville; brother David R. Ruth of Red Hill; sister Karen Ruth of Telford; grandchildren Janell Reeser, Nicholas A. Bedio, Elizabeth Earles, Natalie Allebach, Jeremiah M. Burnhauser, Emily Ekama and Amanda Bornhorst; 18 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family at Union Church Cemetery, Neffs.

There will be no calling hours.
