Wynnewood Estates is planning its annual yard and garage sale for 7 a.m.-2 p.m. May 27 at the corner of Atlas and Buckingham drives in Northampton.

More than 50 families will be participating.

Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4714, Northampton, will conduct graveside Memorial Day tributes May 29 at several Northampton cemeteries to honor fallen comrades.

The service schedule will include Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Cemetery 8:30 a.m., St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery 9 a.m., St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery 9:30 a.m. and Our Lady of Hungary Cemetery 10 a.m.

The brief ceremony will consist of the national anthem, a prayer, song, roll call, rifle salute, echo taps and “Amazing Grace.”

Additionally, the Northampton Joint Veterans Organization - consisting of the American Legion Post 353, Catholic War Veterans Post 454 and VFW Post 4714 - will conduct a Memorial Day tribute May 29, starting 11 a.m. at the Northampton veterans plaza, 14th Street and Dewey Avenue.

The Northampton municipal swimming pool opens for the season June 3.

The Paw Prints on the Canal event is planned for 11 a.m.-4 p.m. June 11, rain or shine.

The event benefits the Northampton K-9 unit. It will include crafts and vendors galore, demonstrations and vaccination clinics.

Holy Trinity Nursery School, 1235 Main St., is currently registering for the 2023-24 school year.

The 2-year-old playgroup class will meet 9:30-11 a.m. Mondays and Wednesdays. Class size is limited to 12 children, who do not need to be toilet trained for this class.

The 3-year-old class meets 9-11:30 a.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays. Class size is limited to 16 children, who need to be toilet trained for this class.

The 4-year-old class meets 12:15-2:45 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Class size is limited to 16 children, who need to be toilet trained for this class.

Children must turn the appropriate age for the class by Sept. 1.
