Donald A. Crawford
Donald A. Crawford, 82, of Schnecksville, formerly of Germansville and Millville, died on May 14, 2023, surrounded by his loving family in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.
He and his wife, Beatrice L. (Smith) Crawford, were married 59 years.
Born Jan. 6, 1941, in Freeland, Luzerne County, he was the son of the late Charles A. and Mabel J. (Wirsing) Crawford.
He honorably served in the Pennsylvania Army National Guard.
He was a construction superintendent for 35 years.
A faithful servant of Christ, whose trust in grace never wavered, he served many congregations as they had need and built churches in Africa and the U.S. during his retirement.
In later years, he supported the NETS Institute in Vermont and attended Whitehall Bible Fellowship Church.
In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by children Dawn M. Adler (Darryl) of Hatboro, David R. Crawford (Karen) of Essex, Vt., and Daryl A. Crawford (Jodi) of New Tripoli; sister Nancy Smith of Wapwallopen; brothers Charles “Bud” Crawford (Carol) and Richard Crawford (Carol), all of Drums; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by siblings Carol Smith and Robert Crawford.
His funeral service will be 11 a.m. May 19 in Whitehall Bible Fellowship Church, 3300 7th St., Whitehall, with Pastor Timothy J. Schmoyer.
Family and friends may pay their respects 9:30 a.m.-11 a.m. Friday.
Interment will follow at Albert Cemetery, Mountain Top, Luzerne County.
