Catasauqua is offering a free youth football camp for students in kindergarten to seventh grade at Alumni Field. The last day for camp will be noon-1:30 p.m. May 21.

Sheckler Elementary students will be celebrating at the end of May with a fun day of events.

Second grade will begin 9 a.m. May 24, and third grade will follow noon. Kindergarten will celebrate starting 9 a.m. May 25, and first grade will follow noon. Fourth grade’s day will be held May 25.

Sheckler will be closed May 29 for Memorial Day. Normal schedules will resume May 30.

There will be a third-grade field trip to the Crayola Factory May 31.

A summer reading camp from Camp BOOK IT! is now open for enrollment for children in grades pre-K to sixth or ages 4-12. The camp runs June-August and is a free program that will help students reach reading goals.

Sheckler is seeking a full-time secretary for a 12-month position, beginning Aug. 1. The secretary will be responsible for day-to-day operations within the school’s office. The position’s schedule will run 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Mondays-Fridays with a 30-minute paid lunch.
