Parkland boys T&F goes unbeaten

Last Tuesday was almost as close to a perfect day as the Parkland boys track and field program could get.

That’s because the Trojans ended the season with an undefeated 8-0 record by beating rival Emmaus 91-58, and won the EPC South championship.

The Parkland runners fueled this victory. Trey Tremba, a superb athlete, won the 100-meter dash in 11.13. Dylan Simon looked good also in winning the 200-meter race, while teammate Nathan Janukowicz won the 400. Brady Hoffman continued Parkland’s winning ways in the 800, while Liam McGuigan took the 1,600 and Ethan Willard claimed the 3,200.

Andrew Beers has terrorized the EPC this season and he terrified Emmaus last Tuesday as he won the 110-meter hurdles. The Parkland relay teams were great as well. The 4x100 team comprised of Nakhi Bullock, Xander McWhite, Simon and Tremba won in 41.94. The 4x800 team of Praveen Sureshkmar, Brady Hoffman, Sam Tomko and Tyler Rothrock took care of business winning in 8:04.29

The field teams did not have a field day, but they did enough. Connor Johns took the high jump, while Leo Dauberman won the javelin.

This week the Trojans will battle for the EPC championship on May 9 and 10 at Whitehall High School.
