The Wheels on the Canal car show, which includes a craft and vendor fair, is scheduled for 10 a.m.-4 p.m. May 20 at Canal Street Park, 1400 Canal St. Proceeds benefit Mission 22 and Blue Star Mothers.

The Friends of the Library group will hold a yard sale 8 a.m.-1 p.m. May 20 on the Northampton Area Public Library grounds, 1615 Laubach Ave.

Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4714, Northampton, will conduct graveside Memorial Day tributes May 29 at several Northampton cemeteries to honor fallen comrades.

The service schedule will include Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Cemetery 8:30 a.m., St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery 9 a.m., St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery 9:30 p.m. and Our Lady of Hungary Cemetery 10 p.m.

The brief ceremony will consist of the national anthem, a prayer, song, roll call, rifle salute, echo taps and “Amazing Grace.”

Additionally, the Northampton Joint Veterans, consisting of the American Legion Post 353, Catholic War Veterans Post 454 and VFW Post 4714, will conduct a Memorial Day tribute May 29, starting 11 a.m. at the Northampton veterans plaza, 14th Street and Dewey Avenue.

Reminder: This month’s distributions at Northampton Area Food Bank, 1601 Canal St., are 9-11:30 a.m. May 18 and 5-7 p.m. May 20.

The food bank will be closed May 29.

To register, bring a photo ID with a current address or a photo ID and a utility bill or lease with the correct address. Registration can be done 9-11:30 a.m. Wednesday mornings. You should reside in Northampton Area School District. There are some exceptions. You will need the names of everyone living with you full time.

Holy Trinity Nursery School, 1235 Main St., is currently registering for the 2023-24 school year.

The 2-year-old playgroup class will meet 9:30-11 a.m. Mondays and Wednesdays. Class size is limited to 12 children, who do not need to be toilet trained for this class.

The 3-year-old class meets 9-11:30 a.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays. Class size is limited to 16 children, who need to be toilet trained for this class.

The 4-year-old class meets 12:15-2:45 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Class size is limited to 16 children, who need to be toilet trained for this class.

Children must turn the appropriate age for the class by Sept. 1.
