Big Bone Daddy will play 7-11 p.m. May 20 at Petersville Rod and Gun Club, 550 Club Road.

Emmanuel’s Church, 3175 Valley View Drive, announces that since Pentecost and the rite of Confirmation falls on Memorial Day weekend, some changes needed to be made.

There will only be one service May 28, held 9 a.m. in fellowship hall, where we will celebrate the affirmation of Baptism with our confirmands.

There will also be a 10:20 a.m. service of remembrance in the cemetery with the Sons of Veterans Reserves of the Civil War and Tri-Community Marching Band.

Emmanuel’s Lutheran Church will celebrate its 300th anniversary with a special worship service 9:30 a.m. June 25 in the fellowship hall.

The synod bishop, Christopher deForest, and other special guests will be present.

There will also be a banquet and additional festivities noon at the Northampton Banquet and Event Center, 1601 Laubach Ave.

Tickets are on sale and can be purchased in the church office.
