Community colleges such as Northampton Community College are represented at the college fair at Emmaus High School. Megan Geklinsky is an Emmaus alum who went to NCC and liked it for its lower costs on tuition and “exploratory studies.”
Michael Burke works the table for the Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency. The PHEAA helps students apply for financial aid and get access to higher education. According to Burke, federal aid will be more readily available during the 2024-2025 school year.
Jay Amore tells attendees the Universal Technical Institute offers students the chance to work in highly demanded fields. UTI has 16 campuses across the country and lets students work in areas such as robotics and aviation.
