Moore Township: Moore Township committee to meet

Moore Township Recreation Committee next meets 7 p.m. May 18 at the township municipal building, 2491 Community Drive. The committee’s goals are to assist township children and families.

Christ United Church of Christ, Little Moore, will be holding a flea market and yard sale, planned for 8 a.m.-1 p.m. May 27 at 913 S. Mink Road, Danielsville.

There is a cost to have a spot. The setup time is 7 a.m.

Rain date is June 3.

The next Moore Township Historical Commission meeting will be 7 p.m. May 30. Contact the township office for the location of the meeting.

Planning is underway for the commission’s annual Octoberfest event, which will begin 5 p.m. at Klecknersville Rangers Fire Company’s social hall, 2718 Mountain View Drive. At this time, the exact date is to be determined.

The next Chapman Borough Council meeting is 7 p.m. June 5 at Chapman Borough Hall, 1401 Main St. The borough’s slogan is “The Town That Slate Built.”

Moore Township Board of Supervisors has three members elected by the voters. Supervisors next meet 6 p.m. June 6 at the municipal building, 2491 Community Drive.

The borough’s land and environmental protection board will meet 7 p.m. June 12 at the recreation pavilion, 635 English Road. The board successfully works to preserve farmland and open space to keep the rural nature and beauty of Moore Township.

There will be a public hearing 6 p.m. June 22 at the municipal building, regarding Trach Road.

Emmanuel’s Lutheran Church, 3175 Valley View Drive, celebrates its 300th anniversary in 2023. A special worship will be held June 25.
