Gary E. Green, 58, of Alburtis, died May 6, 2023, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest. He was the partner and loving companion of Debra Stevens for more than 21 years. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Barbara (Engleman) and Ralph Green.

Most of his life was spent in Victor, N.Y., graduating from Victor Central School Senior High, where he played on the varsity football team. He graduated from DeSales University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in business administration and marketing and then later with an MBA in human resources management.

He worked as a chef and wait staff at various local restaurants. Most of his career was with AARP Health Care in various roles.

“Mr. Gary” cherished his time driving the bus for STA East Penn School District. He then worked with adults with special needs at the LIFT Center until being diagnosed with cancer in 2021.

One of his passions was cooking, especially creating soup and holiday meals for his family. He was affectionately known as “The Man Chef.”

He loved watching Philadelphia sports teams, spending time with his family and his furry companion Phoebe. We will miss his corny “dad jokes.”

He is survived by his partner and loving companion; daughter, Katrina; stepdaughters, Lauren and Rachel Stevens; mother-in-law, Nyda Muschlitz; brother-in-law, David J. Naus.

Services will be held 10:30 a.m. May 12 in the Stephens Funeral Home, Inc., 274 N. Krocks Road, Allentown. Call 6 to 8 p.m. May 11 and 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. May 12 in the funeral home.
