A resident on South Fifth Street offered footage from their Ring doorbell in connection with the recent thefts from vehicles in the borough.

APRIL 16

Police were on the scene of a domestic incident in the 3000 block of North Second Street, Whitehall, involving a 9-year-old male allegedly threatening to kill his mother and chasing her with a broomstick. Coplay officers assisted at the scene until Whitehall police arrived.

A noise complaint brought police to the 100 block of South Second Street.

Officers responded to a reported reckless driver on the Chestnut Street bridge.

A suspicious person on the Ironton Rail Trail was investigated.

APRIL 18

Officers were on the scene of a motor vehicle accident in the Giant Food Store parking lot, 202 Chestnut St.

Police responded to a suspicious person report on Chestnut Street.

APRIL 19

Officers were on the scene of a disturbance of non-domestic harassment by physical force in the 200 block of Chestnut Street.

A disturbance involving vehicles swerving in traffic and occupants arguing brought police to the area of North Second and Chestnut streets.

Two residents involved in previous harassment complaints came to the police station, 98 S. Fourth St., to take further action.

A suspicious person in an apartment known to be vacant was investigated. No address was provided.

A report of a missing person in the 100 block of Coplay Street was investigated with assistance from other departments. The individual was found with her daughter and an ex-boyfriend, who was arrested for a protection-from-abuse violation.
