Arline M. Lahn

Arline M. (Ziegler) Lahn, 93, formerly of Grange Road, Wescosville, died May 5, 2023, in Heather Glen Senior Living, Allentown, where she was a resident since 2020. She was the wife of the late Elmer C. Lahn who died Sept. 19, 1998. They were married for 47 years. Born and raised in Bowers, she was a daughter of the late Paul D. and Mabel L.M. (Resch) Ziegler.

She attended Kutztown Area High School.

She was a very faithful member of the United Church of Christ congregation of Ziegel’s Union Church, Breinigsville, where she was a member of the church choir and volunteer. She could often be found in the church kitchen helping with luncheons, bazaars and fundraisers.

She was a dedicated Meals on Wheels volunteer for 25 years.

She was employed by the Kutztown Wallet Factory, Kutztown and Allen Organ Company, Macungie, but for most of her life, she was a homemaker who took great pride in raising her family and taking care of her home.

She and her late husband enjoyed traveling the United States in their RV. They also enjoyed many miles spent together on their Gold Wing motorcycle. She even rode from Pennsylvania to Colorado in the custom-built sidecar her husband had purchased for her.

She is survived by children, Dennis E. and his wife, Janet L. (Heiss), of Green Lane, Dale E. and his wife, Kathy, of Schnecksville, Diane A. and her husband, Ty B. Muth, of Wescosville; grandchildren, Nicholas T. and his wife, Nichole (Nichols) Muth, Ian P. and his wife, Amanda (Lahn) Mays; great-grandchildren, Wyatt, Kara, Asher and Grayson Muth; sister, Gladys (Ziegler) Zimmerman, of Kutztown; brother, Warren Ziegler, of Wescosville and their families.

A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. May 11 in the Ludwick Funeral Homes and Cremation Care, Inc., 333 Greenwich St., Kutztown. A viewing will be held 10 to 11 a.m. May 11 in the funeral home.
