The Emmaus High School boys volleyball team had another unbeaten week last week, winning two Eastern Pennsylvania Conference matches and a nonconference match to remain undefeated in dual matches during the regular season.

The Green Hornets won in straight sets on the road at Liberty, by scores of 26-24, 25-15, 31-29, last Monday, April 24. They followed that up with a home match against Bethlehem Catholic that Wednesday, also winning in straight sets, 25-13, 25-15, 25-22. Emmaus concluded the week by defeating Southern Lehigh in four sets, by scores of 25-22, 22-25, 25-23, 25-16.

Against the Hurricanes, two Hornets finished in double figures in kills, led by Logan Dougherty with 13. Cael Kratzer added 11 kills. Jametric Harris recorded eight kills, five digs and two blocks. Cooper Henseler tallied 35 assists. Three players ended with double-digit digs, as Brian Cobb had 13, Zach Baus contributed 12 and Lucas Mondin added 10.

In the match with the Golden Hawks, the offense was evenly divided as five Hornets had at least four kills and nine finished with at least two. Harris led the way with seven kills, followed by Dougherty and Kratzer with five and Mondin and Brayden Dang with four. Henseler recorded 28 assists, three digs and two kills. Klo Htoo and Kyle Long joined Henseler, Dougherty and Mondin with three digs each.

Emmaus finished off a close match, one which every set but the last one was decided by three points or less. The Hornets bounced back after losing their first set in a match since at Nazareth on April 13th, to take the final two.

Emmaus enter this week at 15-0 overall and 11-0 in the conference, tied with Parkland (13-0, EPC; 11-0 overall) at the top. The Green Hornets defeated Freedom in four sets this past Monday at home and then will play at Parkland in the regular season finale on Thursday. The postseason is scheduled to start next week.
