Pops goes John Williams: The Allentown Symphony Pops concert, “The Music of John Williams, 7:30 p.m. May 6, has the theme of music composed by Williams for the movies of director Steven Spielberg (above, left, with John Williams, right) and others. The concert includes “The Raiders March” from “Raiders of the Lost Ark” and “Main Title” from “Jurassic Park,” among other Williams’ compositions.
Peak goes Randy Houser: Randy Houser, 8 p.m. May 5, Penn’s Peak, Jim Thorpe. Doors open at 7 p.m. Houser, born in Lake, Miss., is a successful country music singer-songwriter and performer. He co-wrote “Honky Tonk Badonkadonk” by Trace Adkins, “Back That Thing Up” by Justin Moore, and “My Cowboy” by Jessie James. Houser has three consecutive No. 1 hits from his 2013 album, with “How Country Feels,” “Runnin’ Outta Moonlight” and “Goodnight Kiss,” plus a fourth No. 1, “We Went” from his 2016 album, “Fired Up.” His latest album is “Note To Self,” released in 2022.
