The Seed Farm offers a spring plant sale May 13 and 14

Attention gardening enthusiasts!
The Seed Farm will host a spring plant sale 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 13 and 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 14, 5854 Vera Cruz Road.
A variety of flower, herb and vegetable plants will be available for purchase and all of the plantings are organically grown at the farm. Past offerings have included varieties of beans, cucumbers, eggplant, lettuce, peppers, spinach, squash and tomatoes as well as basil, dill, parsley, sage and other herbs. Varieties of marigolds and sunflowers also have been available. Visit the website theseedfarm.org for additional details.
On May 21, the Upper Milford Historical Society will host its monthly open house at the Upper Milford Township building, 5671 Chestnut St. Visitors are welcome 1 to 4 p.m.
The historical society holds its next monthly meeting 7 p.m. May 25. The featured program is “Vera Cruz Part II” and local residents will talk about Vera Cruz history.
Upper Milford Township residents please take note. Summer hours for the yard waste center continue through Nov. 30. Hours are noon to 4 p.m. Sundays and Mondays; 3 to 7 p.m. Wednesdays; 8 a.m. to noon Fridays and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays. The center is closed Tuesdays and Thursdays. Holiday closures include May 29, July 4 and Sept. 4.
Lower Milford Township would like to remind residents vouchers are now required to use spay and neuter services for adult feral cats as part of the stray animal assistance contract the township has with the Sanctuary at Haafsville, according to the township website.
Vouchers are limited to three per property and are available at the Lower Milford Township municipal office, 7607 Chestnut Hill Road.
No vouchers are required for feral kittens.
Also, those seeking an opportunity to get involved may submit letters of interest for the position of delegate to the joint building board of appeals at the Lower Milford Township offices, through regular mail or by email. Visit the township website lowermilford.org for additional details.
The Friends of Southern Lehigh Public Library, the home library of Lower Milford Township residents, will host its “3 Bs” sale fundraiser, featuring baked goods, bedding plants and books, 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 6 at the library, 3200 Preston Lane, Center Valley. While visiting the library website, take a moment to check out the programming offered there including yoga, story hours for children, concerts, movies, discussion groups and presentations on local history. May highlights include an open mic/talent show for kids May 11, a nature program presented by the Lehigh County Conservation District May 18 and a craft club meeting May 22.
The Lower Milford Township Board of Supervisors next meet 6:30 p.m. May 18 in the township building. Township offices will be closed May 29 in observance of Memorial Day.
