The Indianland Garden Club meets 7 p.m. May 9 at Hope Lutheran Church, 4131 Lehigh Drive, Cherryville. Doors open 6 p.m.

For this workshop, bring a hammer, a piece of wood or clip board, masking or painter’s tape, scissors and live flowers with petals. Ear plugs or cotton balls are optional.

The club will also be holding a homegrown plant sale 9 a.m.-2 p.m. May 13 at Hope Lutheran Church.

Hope Lutheran Church’s Vacation Bible School program is scheduled for July 10-14.

The classes will be held 9 a.m.-noon, with a closing program scheduled for 7 p.m. July 14.

The theme is Totally Submerged.

Come dive into the Bible with the Gilligan crew on the adventure of a lifetime. Participants will be exploring the wet and wild stories from the ocean floor.

VBS is open to children ages 3 to youths completing sixth grade in June. Children must be potty-trained.
