June E. Wernett, 96, died April 22, 2023, at Gracedale Nursing Home, Nazareth. She was the wife of the late Robert F. Wernett for 75 years.

Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late Thomas A. and Kate I. (Kemmerer) Martin.

During World War II, she was a welder supporting our troops in the service. After the war, she was a seamstress.

She is survived by a two daughters, Connie Benninger and companion Donald Tyson of Allentown and Roseann and husband Dean Yelles of Northampton; a brother, Bradford Martin of Northampton; two sisters, Nancy and husband John Koeppen and Barbara and husband Clarence Rehrig, all of Allentown; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by a daughter, Patricia E. Bankos; three brothers, Thomas, Ronald and Charles; and three sisters, Joyce Musselman, Jean Haas and Geraldine Miller.

There will be a celebration of life with a calling hour 10 a.m., followed by a church service 11 a.m. with fellowship and luncheon afterward, May 13 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 1335 Old Carriage Road, Northampton, 18067.
