James J. Lorah, 85, of Walnutport, died April 22, 2023. He was the husband of Judy (Oels) Lorah for 59 years.

Born in Sheppton, he was a son of the late Arthur and Elizabeth (Konschnik) Lorah.

He was a U.S. Navy veteran.

He was a salesman for the Nestle Company for many years until he retired.

He attended St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Berlinsville.

He was a baseball coach for the Walnutport Playground Association. He was a past president of the Slatington Suburban Baseball League and was involved with Boy Scout Troop 69.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, James H. and wife Debra, Jay A. and wife Lina and Joseph G. and wife Sherry; and 10 grandchildren.

He was predeceased by four siblings, Leona Snell, Georgine Finn, Priscilla Keretz and Arthur Lorah.
