Scott Holmes announced he is running for North Catasauqua Borough Council.

Holmes has lived in the borough his entire life. He was a volunteer firefighter for the borough for more than 30 years and was a correctional officer for Lehigh County Department of Corrections for 31 years before retiring.

“I want to see more transparency within the borough. The residents were blindsided when they lost their fire company because of the lack of transparency,” Holmes said. “The equipment was paid for utilizing taxpayers’ money from North Catasauqua. The taxpayers should have had say in what happens to the fire department.”

According to Holmes, there are other issues that he takes issues with.

“This is our town and our future,” Holmes said.
