Governor Wolf Historical Society, 6600 Jacksonville Road, East Allen Township, held its 14th annual antiques show March 4 and 5, highlighting primitives and country collectibles. All three buildings had around 25 dealers, each with something old and interesting. There were antique children’s toys, kitchen utensils, farm accouterments, sections of shelving, furniture, linens, collectible dishes, serving pieces, one-of-a-kind pottery and much more. No two vendors were alike.
Vendor Dorene Tenges, of Bethlehem, has been at this show for five years. She doesn’t have a brick and mortar shop but sells her wares only at shows like this.
Customers like April Leas travel to this show each year from varied distances. Leas hails from Telford. Other customers reported traveling from Harrisburg, Port Jervis and Flemmington. Attendees noted the variety of items, reasonable prices and friendly vendors made the show special.
As customers were leaving, they could be heard saying, “I can’t wait until next year’s show!”
