The Salisbury track and field teams remained winless in their past two meets, although the Falcons saw some fine individual performances in both.

The Falcons dropped a tri-meet against two of the leagues top teams on April 10 at Salisbury High School.

Salisbury’s boys team fell to Southern Lehigh 134-16, while losing to Notre Dame (Green Pond) 113-37. In the girls meet, the Spartans beat Salisbury 144-6 and the Crusaders came out on top 140-6.

Last week Salisbury faced Catasauqua and host Northern Lehigh. The Falcon boys lost 80-55 to the Bulldogs an 92-52 to the Rough Riders. The Salisbury girls team fell by scores of 104-31 against Northern Lehigh and 134-14 against Catty.

Against Southern Lehigh and Notre Dame, Jacob Gibbons’ win in the 200-meter dash was the Falcons’ only first-place finish in the meet.

Last week Gibbons won a pair of events as he crossed the line first in the 200 and 400. Jairo Suarez (110-meter hurdles) and Steven Lozada (pole vault) also took first place in one event each against Catty and Northern Lehigh.

In girls events, Alexandra Millers took first place in pole vault.

Both Salisbury teams fell to 0-7 with the losses. They have two meets left before beginning postseason competition at the Colonial League Championships May 10 at Whitehall.
