Since our daughters have moved out, I am now the lone female in a house of men. It’s been an adjustment. I am also now the shortest member of the family. One morning while we were getting ready for work and school, I was standing next to Ben and asked him if he grew again. His under his breath reply was “No, you’re just short.” I said, “What?” and Matt chimed in with, “That went over Mom’s head.” And that was just the start of the day!
The copy deadline for the June 7 column will be June 1.
