Catasauqua: ‘Ghost Hunters’ to feature George Taylor House

The George Taylor House was investigated by the Ghost Hunters team for an episode that will air 9 p.m. May 4 on the Travel Channel.

Catasauqua American Legion Post 215, 330 Second St., will be having a red carpet viewing of the event.

Doors open 7:30 p.m. for the 9 p.m. viewing of the show.

The kitchen will be open.

Cinco de Mayo will be celebrated 5-6:30 p.m. May 5 at Catasauqua American Legion Post 215.

There will be dinner while supplies last. There will also be trivia and music bingo beginning 6:30 p.m., hosted by DJ Topflight Craig Neetz.

Whitehall Active Community Center, 2301 Pine St., West Catasauqua, will celebrate its sixth anniversary 11 a.m. May 5. There will be light refreshments of finger foods, cake and beverages.

Pennsylvania State Police will be hosting a car seat event 2-6 p.m. May 15 in the Bath Borough municipal parking lot, 121 S. Walnut St.

State troopers will provide instruction and information on proper and safe procedures for ensuring the safety of children in vehicles.

The South Catasauqua annual neighborhood yard sale is being held May 19 and 20 at locations south of Race Street, up to and including Circle Drive.

The sale will be held rain or shine.

There is a fee for participating to defray the cost of the neighborhood permit and advertising.

Holy Trinity Memorial Lutheran Church, Fourth and Pine streets, will be having the junior Victorian tea and basket raffle 2-4 p.m. May 21.

The doors will open at 1:30 p.m. for the basket raffle.

This event is kid friendly. There will be beverages, desserts, activities and door prizes.

Adults must be accompanied by a child. Dads, sons and grandson are welcome, too.

This event is hosted by the Holy Trinity youth, and 100% of proceeds will be used to sponsor a child in South Africa through World Vision.
