Lois R. Heiser, 93, formerly of Breinigsville, died April 27, 2023, at Heather Glen Senior Living, Allentown. She was the wife of the late Earl T. Updegrove and the late Rev. Elwood L. Heiser. Born in Shamokin, she was the daughter of the late William “Frederick” and Florence M. (Wagner) Derk.
She was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church, Wescosville.
Before retiring, she worked as a receptionist and secretary for the former United Wesleyan College, Allentown.
She was a member of Senior Citizens Fellowship of Bethany United Methodist Church, past president of Young at Hearts at Calvary Wesleyan Church, Bethlehem, Sunday school teacher at the former Zion E.C. Church, Allentown and in the past had volunteered at Muhlenberg Hospital.
She is survived by her daughters, Dawn L. Moyer, of Las Cruces, N. M., Darlene J. and her husband, Keith Levene, of Allentown, Gloria J. and her husband, Rev. Bruce Hill, of Richland, Arlene M. and her husband, Neil Snyder, of Orefield; stepsons, Daniel E. (Deb), of Paxinos, David L. (Elouise), of Ontario, Calif., Lon R. (Linda), of Manheim, Paul T., (Janelle), of Quarryville, Stephen J., (Charlene), of Lititz; grandchildren; great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a brother, Ivan; sisters, Marilyn (Rev. Melvin) Sponsler and Elaine Derk.

Services will be held 1 p.m. May 3 at Bethany United Methodist Church, 1208 Brookside Road, Wescosville. Calling will begin noon.
