The newest class of the District 11 Wrestling Hall of Fame Was inducted Sunday, April 23, at the Sure Stay Hotel and Conference Center in Bethlehem.
This year’s class featured five PIAA champions with the brother duo of Northampton Jeff and Joey Ecklof leading the way, along with Easton’s Matt Ciasulli, Wilson’s Jeremy Hartrum and Blue Mountain’s Matt Feast.
Jeff Ecklof won two 3A state titles (2001 at 125; 2003 at 145) and recorded 154 career victories. Brother Joey won three state titles for the Kids from 2003-2005 at 135, 145 and 152.
Ciasulli was also a three-time state champion, grabbing crowns from 2000-2002 at 112, 119 and 125.
Hartrum was a 2002 2A state champion for the Warriors and was a three-time state medalist. He is the career wins’ leader for the program is also Wilson’s head coach.
Feast was a 3A heavyweight state champion in 2001, finishing the season undefeated.
The District 11 3A and 2A scholar athletes were honored on the night as well.
